FAQs and Jewelry Care
- My pieces are usually made as one-of-a-kind pieces for one of two reasons: I don't have enough supplies on hand to make more, or my brain has moved on after I got that design out of it and it's ready to give me another one. If you are ever interested in having more than one of a certain piece, or even prefer a different color, PLEASE message me! I may be able to get more of the parts I used or I may have another color on hand that I forgot about, or I may be able to hunt it down for you. Just let me know! I can easily set up a custom listing with your preferences so we can get what you need!
- For my earrings, I generally prefer hooks and those get rubber earring backs. I have sometimes seen them harden when left on the earring hooks for a long time. Some do, and some don't. When I send earrings that have been purchased, I will leave them loose in the packaging so that they don't do this. I've stored them in a storage box alone and they haven't hardened by themselves, but something about the metal sometimes makes them so I leave them off. Please look for them carefully in the package, and also consider storing them off the earring hooks to preserve them for a long time, if you even need them.
- For shipping and return questions, please see my policies linked at the bottom of the page.
- Keep your jewelry and any metal gifts in a dry area to avoid tarnishing. A good trick if you have damp air is to put silica packets in your jewelry box, or keep your jewelry in bags or cases that close.
- Most gemstones are able to be cleaned with warm water, a mild soap, and a soft brush or cloth. If that doesn't clean it, please see a professional. Porous gems like pearls and coral should only be cleaned with a damp cloth and then dried with a dry cloth. Never soak them!
- For standard cleaning, you can wipe jewelry down with a damp cloth or use a jewelry cleaning cloth on metals to clean off the oils from your skin.
- When in doubt, ask! You can message me or consult a professional. It's better to be safe than not have your jewelry!
